Musik KI? Music AI?

 How many people here, learned to sing, play an istrument, or create a musical arrangement, having never heard someone else's music, played someone else's sheet music, or took lessons from someone? I own 200+ guitars, 20+ synthesizer keyboards, 40+ synth modules, 4-5 different DAWS, and possibly 500-1000 VST instruments and countless sample players (Kontaky, Engine 2, Reason, VSL Player, and more). I can't play a virtuoso violin solo on a violin, but I can create one using the above technology. So have ALL of the bands since the late 1960s.

I created two, double LPs worth of heavily orchestrated music, and am working on a third double LP to complete a Trilogy, assisted by AI. If I can't copyright it, anyone could steal my work, and claim it was theirs. I put in MORE thought into this project, to keep continuity in the lyrics and music, as this is a concept album trilogy, then any music heard today on any "pop" radio station, which copies or interpolates some or all previous recorded pop music. I've been a multi-instrumentalist for 60+ years, and have been it Computer Technology for 40+ years and have learned, things change. We can argue whether AI is for the better or for the worse, to what end? Should we ALSO go back and make all of the musicians of the past 50 years, return their rowalties, for using synthesizers, sequencers, computer based recording technologies, Synth VSTs, when most of today's music uses pre-recorded "beats" and sample CDs? 1. AI trained on other's people's music? People have too. 2. Music Artists aren't actually playing a musical instrument? Who is? There are very few "bands" anymore. 3. It doesn't require any talent? Does a pop singer, who's curvaceous and atractive (therefore marketable), quitting after 2 takes, require any real talent? I could play anythng I created in AI, by myself (I might play some lead guitar solos differently), but to do the ENTIRE project above, by myself, with all of my gear, would take me over 5 years. Everybody is cheating, so why use AI as the scape goat. Leave the judgement as to the music's merit, up to the listeners and buyers. So what if a few one hit wonders pop through. Power to the musicians, and shame on the music industry for sucking the cash and life out of music and musicians, by restricting options for musicians.

Wie viele von euch haben singen, ein Instrument spielen oder ein Musikarrangement gelernt, ohne jemals die Musik anderer gehört, deren Noten gespielt oder Unterricht genommen zu haben? Ich besitze über 200 Gitarren, mehr als 20 Synthesizer-Keyboards, über 40 Synthesizer-Module, 4-5 verschiedene DAWs und vermutlich 500-1000 VST-Instrumente sowie unzählige Sample-Player (Kontaky, Engine 2, Reason, VSL Player und mehr). Ich kann zwar kein virtuoses Violinsolo spielen, aber mit der genannten Technologie kann ich eines komponieren. Das haben übrigens alle Bands seit den späten 1960er-Jahren geschafft. Ich habe zwei Doppel-LPs mit aufwendig orchestrierter Musik produziert und arbeite mit KI-Unterstützung an einer dritten Doppel-LP, um eine Trilogie zu vervollständigen. Wenn ich das Urheberrecht nicht schützen kann, könnte jeder meine Arbeit stehlen und sie als seine eigene ausgeben. Ich habe mir bei diesem Projekt besonders viel Mühe gegeben, um die Kontinuität in Text und Musik zu wahren, da es sich um eine Konzeptalbum-Trilogie handelt. Im Gegensatz dazu kopiert oder interpoliert die heutige Popmusik im Radio größtenteils bereits aufgenommene Musik. Ich spiele seit über 60 Jahren mehrere Instrumente und beschäftige mich seit über 40 Jahren mit Computertechnologie. Ich habe gelernt: Die Dinge verändern sich. Man kann darüber streiten, ob KI zum Besseren oder zum Schlechteren ist – aber wozu? Sollten wir etwa auch alle Musiker der letzten 50 Jahre dazu verpflichten, ihre Rechte an Synthesizern, Sequenzern, computergestützten Aufnahmetechnologien und Synth-VSTs zurückzugeben, wo doch heutzutage fast die gesamte Musik auf vorproduzierten Beats und Sample-CDs basiert? 1. KI trainiert mit der Musik anderer? Das haben Menschen auch getan. 2. Musiker spielen gar kein Instrument mehr? Wer denn schon? Es gibt kaum noch Bands. 3. Braucht es kein Talent? Braucht eine kurvenreiche und attraktive (und damit vermarktbare) Popsängerin, die nach zwei Takes aufgibt, wirklich Talent? Ich könnte alles, was ich mit KI erstellt habe, alleine spielen (vielleicht würde ich einige Gitarrensoli anders spielen), aber das GESAMTE Projekt oben mit meinem gesamten Equipment alleine umzusetzen, würde mich über fünf Jahre kosten. Alle betrügen, warum also die KI zum Sündenbock machen? Überlassen wir die Beurteilung der Musik den Hörern und Käufern. Was soll's, wenn ein paar One-Hit-Wonder auftauchen? Hoch lebe die Musikindustrie und Schande über die Musikindustrie, die ihr Geld und ihre Lebensfreude raubt, indem sie die Möglichkeiten der Musiker einschränkt.
